It is that time of year when the current Club committee start planning for the AGM in October and informing members what vacancies there will be on the Committee. This autumn shall be quite a change for the Club with Helen Ashworth and Hilary Coventry coming to the end of their 3 year terms and Geoff Bullock as our Treasurer. The Treasurer does not need to be a qualified accountant but be responsible for looking after the Club’s online bank account and pay it’s bills.
Please could you all have a serious think about whether you fancy taking on one of these roles within our Club. If you’d like to chat to someone about what is involved please chat to any of the three standing down. If you don’t know what they look like check out their photos on our website where you shall also find photos of all the other committee members to give you an idea of who you shall be in the team with you. The Committee meets once a month and works well together sharing roles, sorting out the championship races, discusses training, plans social events and runs the Club. With around 200 members we need some willing volunteers to join the friendly team.
