“Passed away on 24th July following a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Dearly loved husband to Patricia and a kind, caring Brother, Uncle, and Grandad to all his family. Funeral will take place at 1pm Friday 18th August at All Saints' Church, Cherry Tree Avenue, Newton-on-Ouse, York, YO30 2BN. Family flowers only please. Donations received and collected at the church in memory of Ernie will be for the Alzheimer's Research UK, Hospital, and Church. Enquiries please to Co-op Funeral Directors, Haxby. Tel 01904 76086.”
