A brilliant afternoon at the Langdale End Fell Race today, held as part of the Langdale End Village Show, with a strong Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers contingent of Joe Martlew, Ashley Dodgson, Esther Harrison, Paul Chapman, Alan Simpson, Helen Ashworth, Sarah Harrison and Marc Davies taking on the latest round of the Esk Valley Summer Series.
The race packs plenty into its 11km route with around 400 metres of climbing, taking runners over the tracks, trails and open fell of the North York Moors for a proper summer fell-running challenge. A huge thank you to all the marshals and organisers who gave their time and encouragement out on the course, and to everyone involved in putting on such a welcoming village event.
Particular thanks to the Village Hall for the excellent tea and scones for just £2 – hard to beat after a fell race! Proceeds from the race will go towards the Village Hall upkeep fund, helping to support this important local facility. And finally, a big thank you to Bev for the fantastic photographs capturing the TaSH runners in action.
