When you go down to the gateway and run a 42-lap marathon in the middle of Covid, you obviously have to show a little bit of grit and determination.
I don't know what time Gary did but it takes quite a special person to do this. I was impressed.

A couple of months ago I spotted Gary going through Easingwold market place at about 8.50 am one Saturday morning. You've guessed it, parkrun. He was one of the last to pick up a number at the Evening fixture at Knaresborough and achieved a pb at both.

Gary was chosen, as Member of the Month, for his remarkable improvement over the past few months at all levels. Wearing his club vest at cross country, fell, and recently, a top fifty finish in the HDSRL fixture at Knaresborough. He has also lowered his 5k time from 22 minutes to just over 19 minutes. A parkrun percentage improvement of over 12%.
He is still improving, and it looks like he'll be clocking an 18-minute parkrun any time soon.
Well deserved Gary and I wish you continued improvement.
