Our member of the month of January is Trudy Morrice with three age group first positions and three team firsts both in cross country and fell running.
All of them in January!
Here is what she commented:
I did my first fell race in 2018 when I was age 48. It involved Roseberry topping! I was a bit rubbish but loved it. I’ve been hooked ever since.
I kept turning up for the club training sessions, doing some hills and going to the Thursday night KFC runs every week. And would you believe it, Rob was right! You put the groundwork in and it pays off.
After 12-18 months the hills were a bit easier and I got faster. I keep trying different types of races and distances every year – we really are spoilt for choice in this area.
If you are interested in getting into fell running, come and have a chat with me at training or get in touch. I’m not an expert but I’m very enthusiastic! Thank you so much to TASH and the coaches – the training sessions are great and very supportive.
