Fourteen Harriers were among the 418 runners at Fountains Abbey on Saturday helping Pete Jackson and Duncan Fothergill celebrate their milestone 50th park run on a fine, dry, cold morning. Mike Cropper was once again first club finisher, 58th in 21.48 with Bronwyn Mayo 64th in 22.03 and Walter Busuttil not far behind, 71st in 22.40. Duncan took 25.32 with Pete twenty seconds behind in 25.52. Others in support were Liz Wordsworth, Chris Wordsworth, Tracey Dochery, Paul Adams, Gillian Crane, Diana Williams, Molly Kirkhope, Marian Codling and Ian Codling.

Esther Harrison was once again blazing a trail at Millfield, 10th overall out of 155, and 1st lady, in 21.17 with Gary Wilkinson 15th in 22.11 and Rob Lickley 115th in 33.45. Tom Brockbank was also in flying form at Albert Park, finishing in 31st place out of 349 in PB 19.51, with Andy Whiteley 93rd in 23.08 and Allison Whiteley taking 30.05. Ice on the course caused the late cancellation of the Northallerton event.
It's not too late to enter Thirsk 10 on March 12th, a fast, flat road race starting at 10am. The Wheelchair Race begins ten minutes earlier at 9.50 and if you can't manage 10 miles, an off road Fun Run starts at 9am.
