With Junior races setting off the proceedings, Thomas Gwillam was first to run, recording a time of 13.11 at the Whitby Cross Country, the final race of the season apart from the relays at Darlington in a week or two.
The ladies were next to go, Esther Harrison coming 7th in 26.54 with Bronwyn Mayo 10th in 27.17, Clare Rowntree 18th in 28.21, just pipping Lorraine Hiles, 19th in 28.23,  Anna Whitham, 27th in 29.49, Kirsty Naylor 31st in 31.00 (her time matching her position), Clare Gwillam 45th in 33.46, Rosie Gatenby  47th in 34.21, Sara Armitage 58th in 36.39, Beth Haggath 61st in 37.45, Sharon Keegan 68th in 43.51, Margaret Wikeley 69th in 44.06, Christine Burn 70th in 46.06 and Denise Gandy 75th in 48.22. 
This excellent set of results meant that the ladies came 2nd in the Team competition.  Well done once again.
The V65+ men ran with the ladies, Rob Burn taking 29.45, Pedro Carrasco 32.13, Geoff Bullock 34.51, Ken Evitt 41.02 and Alan Wikeley 49.45.
Paul Peacock once again led the club men home over a longer distance, taking 37.39, with the improving Dan Garthwaite 32nd in 38.46 and Josh Cooper and Ken Wood in a sprint to the finish, Josh coming 45th in 40.29 and Ken 46th in 40.33.  Gary Wilkinson came 52nd in 41.32, Alan Simpson 58th in 43.08, David Tervit 63rd in 44.46, Joe O'Keeffe 67th in 45.22, Marc Davies 86th in 48.55, the ever present Duncan Fothergill 84th in 51.12 and Stuart Hill 87th in 56.54.  The men were 5th in the team competition.
Park runners were again far and wide, with Mike Cropper completing his 100th park run.  Well done!  He, along with 8 others, was at Fountains Abbey, though at 35.53, not at his fastest just now.  Half a dozen members were among the 155 at Millfield, and Gary Wilkinson and Lucy Sillars both achieved PBs at Northallerton.  James and Liz Stephenson were at Harrogate, Allison Whiteley at Darlington South Park, Hilary and Gavin Coventry at City Park, Craigavon, where Hilary was 7th lady in 23.49, Andy Newing at Pegwell Bay and Anna Whitham 3rd lady at Cinder Track, Whitby.
Keeping an eye on former members, Charlotte Wilton completed the Tokyo Marathon on a very good 3.25.32.
