Thirsk 10 mile road race is the Club’s jewel in the crown as far as racing goes with a long history and one of the first wheelchair races in the country too, as well as Harriers biggest fundraiser. Why else are our membership fees so low? Do you fancy becoming its Race Director or Deputy?
It is a well organised and established race in March every year and as such has a sub committee that supports the Race Director and meets monthly as the race date approaches. All documents and admin systems are set up to be updated each year with the venue, online entries, and chip timing bookings just repeated year on year. It is a slick operation and has a great team supporting it. Without a Race Director the race can’t happen which would be such a shame considering it’s a great fun race and we have nearly 200 members in our club. The Director doesn’t organise it on their own!

If you would like a chat about either of the roles, speak to or contact Helen, our Chair.
