Our Sincere Thanks for offers of help in answer to requests for Volunteers. We were quite delighted with the response ! Apologies for the delay in further updates since. However, we are excited to say that we have finally received the go-ahead from Event Support and can plan our first Thorp Perrow parkrun. 🙂

The circuit is a single 5km accurately measured Trail loop. Comprises a scenic mix of tree-lined avenues, undulating grassland, country lane, woodland paths, bridged stream crossings, passing by horse paddocks, a lake, a cricket pitch, beehives and Snape Castle before finishing back right on the Start line..
We fully expect to kick off sometime next month. In order for this to happen firm commitments of help are needed so please reply – if free of course – on any of the Saturday dates stated below. Until we have the Event website and roster published, your answers will be a massive help to Sarah, our Volunteer Co-ordinator. No need to reply if unavailable.
With plenty of experience on our initial core team a Test event will not be necessary.
Instead, there will be a complete EVENT SET UP + WALK THROUGH of the whole marked and signed route at 10.30AM on SATURDAY MAY 20TH.
The 5km circuit means that we will need a dozen Marshals minimum each week, therefore it is vital that as many of you as possible get to familiarise yourselves with the whole layout. If you’d prefer not to walk round please do come at and see us at 10.30 on May 20th anyway as we want to meet you ! Drive through the main entrance, park, and follow the yellow parkrun sign . . .

Once we have your answers (and a delivery of additional new equipment arrives, plus a final meeting with estate management)
