Dear Members,
At the AGM in November, the following people will be standing down from the committee and are not seeking to be renominated: Jody Sygrove (6 years), Rosie Gatenby (6 years), Alan Simpson (3 years), Trudy Morrice (3 years). We thank all of them for their contribution to the club.
After a review of the club activities and how to distribute them across the committee and other roles, we will be looking for nominations for the following positions at the AGM. If you wish to discuss the roles, get a nomination form or talk to someone confidentially, please contact Natalie Lyth (Club Secretary). Please click on each role to view the description:
The roles of Treasurer and Chair are being advertised because the current role holders have been in position for 3 years. However, Lucy Sillars, is happy to be renominated as Treasurer and continue in the role. For the Chair role, please come forward if you are interested in getting involved. The current Chair, Trudy Morrice, is not seeking to be renominated for a further 3 years but there is an option for her to continue to support the role for up to 12 months as part of a transition period and/or to help with the 50th anniversary activities.
Alan Simpson has kindly offered to continue managing the Championship and Time Trial tables and to support the news team. Jody Sygrove will be continuing as Coach in the coaching team. As we are losing a Coach from the committee, this role could be combined with one of the above positions.
Please note: We are in real need of more members with Race Organiser experience. Please think about getting involved and coming forward. This could be in a ‘shadowing’ capacity or in a joint role. We do quite a few club organised races and it helps if we can spread the work out. Please talk to one of the committee members for more information or contact Trudy Morrice.
