Yorkshire Tenners Race Series
A Northern Yorkshire Club Series of 10k and 10m Races
1. Background and introduction
A race series incorporating 10k and 10m races organised by six Northern Yorkshire based running clubs. Runners from these clubs are automatically included in the series by completing at least 3 races in the year. Results are then collated for overall series positions (male/female and age categories), very similar to how the Harrogate District Summer Race League, PECO cross-country and other race series work.
The main purpose of this series is to try and increase entries to our club races at minimal extra cost, whilst also giving runners a new challenge. Something similar used to exist in North Yorkshire known as the Black Sheep Brewery series, which is well remembered and offered runners an additional challenge.
In 2026 the series is running as a pilot and only open to runners who are members of the 6 participating clubs. If the pilot is successful, the intention is to open the series to any runner in 2027.
